Michele Palermo is Vice President for Standards and Fora at Telecom Italia, he is in charge for planning and execution of standardization activities and industry alliances.

He is accountable to keep standard company’s position linked to Telecom Italia’s business strategy.

Michele has 16 years of experience in Telco industry, prior this role he held a number of positions in marketing and business development at corporate and business unit level.

In 2006-2011 he served Telecom Italia as Head of Marketing for Web & Messaging Services (2006) and Head of Market & Product Innovation (2007-2010).

In 1996-2005 Michele served TIM, the Italian leader and fastest growing mobile operator, as Head of Value Added Enabling Services (2002-2004) and Head of Technical Solutions (2005).

Before joining TI Group, Michele worked in R&D department of Ericsson Italy.

Michele received a M. Sc. in Engineering in 1994 and an Executive MBA in 2009.
