Thirty years of experience in the Telecommunication sector in areas of Technology, Strategic Planning, Business Development, Project Management and launch of Green Field Operations.

Joined Etisalat in 1979 and held various senior engineering positions in DUBAI, RAK, AUH and SHARJAH Regions. From Sept 1996 to May 2004 in Head Office as Senior Executive Vice President Eng (SEVP/ENG).  In addition to my responsibility as SEVP/Eng, I was also involved in corporate studies in respect to strategic planning, Business policies, Organization Development and international investment.

In June 2004, joined Warid Telecom International as Group CTO and ExecutiveBoard Director in Warid Telecom and Wateen Telecom Pakistan.  The leadership was taken to launch the Warid Telecom GSM operations in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Uganda and Congo Brazzaville. Last position in Warid Telecom was CEO Warid Pakistan and a member of the Board Executive Committee in all Subsidiaries of Warid Telecom International.

In October 2008 joined Vtel Holdings as Group CEO based in Amman Jordan.  Vtel Holdings is a multinational Corporation with 8 subsidiaries in ME, Africa and CIS Regions.

In August 2009, joined M/s. Huawei Technologies as the Advisor to the President of MENA based in Cairo.  On 3rd July 2010, joined Etisalat UAE as Chief Technology & Information Officer.
