Jason is responsible for Tekelec’s next-generation session management products and platform and the company’s multi-product solutions. Prior to joining Tekelec in 2006, Jason spent 17 years with Nortel where he most recently led the development of SIP and related technologies for the Succession CS2000/AS2000 platform. While at Nortel, he authored or co-authored more than 10 US Patents and Invention Disclosures, and was responsible for the implementation of SIP, VXML, SOAP and other Industry Standard Protocols in support of the IMS / 3GPP2 network architecture. Additionally, he was actively involved in the definition of the Nortel VoIP and IMS strategy. He has an extensive background in signaling, switching, the VoIP business and the overall evolution to IMS.
